This is really the only hot chocolate recipe you need. It's packed with good-for-you ingredients that nourish your body while satisfying that hot cocoa craving.
Recipe:
Serves 2
1 cup of beef bone broth (Kettle & Fire or TJ's brands for better flavor) -- check for protein content
1 cup of milk of choice (recipe is based on 2% milk)
2 tbsp of cocoa powder
1.5 tbsp of coconut sugar
1 tsp of vanilla
2 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper (optional)
Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender for 1 minute, then microwave for 90 seconds. Or combine all ingredients over medium heat in a sauce pan for 3-5 minutes. Froth with a hand frother for about 1 minute until milk is thickened and frothy.
Sprinkle some cinnamon on top and enjoy!
